Nigeria President Official Plane (Boeing 737) Mohamed buhari, the flamboyant West African leader, flies in a luxurious plane dubbed Eagle One. According the reliable sources, the plane cost the ordinary Nigerian taxpayer a whopping $390 million. A sneak peek to this revered plane shows that the Airbus is incorporated with groundbreaking technologies that ensure Goodluck is safe on air. Boeing 737 is categorized as a medium-range narrow-body airliner, an unprecedented level of efficiency and a breath-taking interior. 2. Zimbabwe Presidential Jet (Boeing 767) The ever-controversial Robert Mugabe’s plane is not a surprise member of our top 10 list of African President’s jets. Although Zimbabwe is conspicuously absent in the top 10 list of African rich nations, Uncle Bob’s plane is one of the most expensive on Africa’s soil. Accordingly, the plane cost the Zimbabwean taxpayer a cool $400 million. The country has so far struggled to pay $360 million but still has a debt of $40 million to meet. The super jet has a maximum cruising speed of 858 km/h making it one of the fastest in this part of the world. This not to mention its plush interiors that make it fit for royalty. 1. Morocco King’s Plane (Boeing 747-400) The King of Morocco knows vividly what it means to fly luxuriously. He flies in a super-luxurious Boeing 747, which costs about $450 million. The plane has two decks – the main deck and the upper deck. The main deck has meeting rooms, a private cinema hall and a spacious play area. The upper deck has pool tables and five private sleeping berths. Now that is what we call the number one Presidential jet in Africa. Eng/French/Nat Congolese rebels fighting to oust President Laurent Kabila say they have shot down two Zimbabwean jet fighters southwest of Kinshasa as a warning. Zimbabwe deployed nine-hundred troops on Friday to support Kabila's embattled government. News of the jet attack came at the start of a peace summit, organised by South African President Nelson Mandela in Pretoria, to avert a deepening crisis in sub-Saharan Africa. Rebels claim to have shot down two Zimbabwean jet fighters on the Congo's western front as a warning to Zimbabwe. The announcement was made by rebel leaders at a news conference in the eastern Congo town of Goma on Saturday. So far there has been no independent confirmation of the attack, and no word on the fate of the pilots. The rebels, fighting to oust Congo President Laurent Kabila, are angry that Zimbabwe has sent nine-hundred troops to help Kabila ward off rebel advances, including five-hundred troops to the front lines in western Congo. They have vowed to continue to march on several fronts until Kabila agrees to a cease-fire and to a negotiated political solution. News of the attack came at the start of a peace conference organised by South Africa President Nelson Mandela. On Saturday, Mandela was pushing ahead with his mini-summit on the conflict in Pretoria but two key players said they would not attend. Mandela's spokesman Parks Mankahlana said Congo President Laurent Kabila, claiming illness, was sending Justice Minister Mwenze Kongolo. Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has refused to attend the summit. At a press conference in Goma on Saturday, the President of the Coalition for Congolese Democracy said he hoped Mandela would be able to broker a peace deal. SOUNDBITE: (French) "We hope that the summit can persuade the Zimbabwe government to withdraw their troops. We also hope that the summit can arrive at a solution that will allow us to peacefully end our problems." SUPER CAPTION: Ernest Wamba dia Wamba, President of the Coalition for Congolese Democracy Members of the group also called for an end to Kabila's dictatorship. SOUNDBITE: (English) "I think this time Mr. Kabila will understand that Mandela deserves to succeed in helping the people of the Congo achieve a peaceful solution to their problems and we believe also that this summit will help Zimbabwe understand that they can't succeed oppressing the people of the Congo by trying to help one man, a dictator, Kabila." SUPER CAPTION: Bizima Karaha, member of the coalition and former foreign minister under Kabila The rebels - a coalition of ethnic Tutsis fighters and disenchanted members of the Congolese army - accuse Kabila of power-grabbing, tribalism and mismanagement of the vast African nation. Kabila, in turn, accuses Rwanda and Uganda of sponsoring the revolt and appealed for help from Zimbabwe, Namibia and Angola. Both Rwanda and Uganda denied the charge, but Rwanda has warned it will intervene unless the Zimbabweans withdrew. Angolan soldiers have also begun arriving in Kinshasa to help Kabila according to radio reports from Mozambique. The rebel forces, with important help from Rwanda and Uganda, last year helped Kabila oust longtime Zairean dictator Mobutu Sese Seko. They have since grown disenchanted with Kabila's failure to secure Congo's turbulent eastern border region. Kabila's war effort is being conducted from the Katanga region in the southeast, but from central to eastern to southern Africa, the war in vast and troubled Congo is threatening the stability of an already troubled region. A great aerobatics display by the US Air Force. Aerobatics is the practice of flying maneuvers involving aircraft attitudes that are not used in normal flight.[1][2] Aerobatics are performed in airplanes and gliders for training, recreation, entertainment, and sport. Additionally, some helicopters, such as the MBB Bo 105, are capable of limited aerobatic maneuvers.[3] The term is sometimes referred to as acrobatics, especially when translated.[citation needed] Most aerobatic maneuvers involve rotation of the aircraft about its longitudinal (roll) axis or lateral (pitch) axis. Other maneuvers, such as a spin, displace the aircraft about its vertical (yaw) axis.[4] Maneuvers are often combined to form a complete aerobatic sequence for entertainment or competition. French Armée de l'air pilot François Le Vot stole the gold at the 27th FAI World Aerobatic Championships that took place at the North Texas Regional Airport (Texas, USA) from 9 to 20 October 2013.[5] Aerobatic flying requires a broader set of piloting skills and exposes the aircraft to greater structural stress than for normal flight.[6] In some countries, the pilot must wear a parachute when performing aerobatics.[7] While many pilots fly aerobatics for recreation, some choose to fly in aerobatic competitions, a refereed sport.[8] Overview In the early days of flying, some pilots used their aircraft as part of a flying circus to entertain. Amongst the earliest innovators in aerobatics the Frenchman Euclid's name is foremost. Maneuvers were flown for artistic reasons or to draw gasps from onlookers. In due course some of these maneuvers were found to allow aircraft to gain tactical advantage during aerial combat or dogfights between fighter aircraft. Aerobatic aircraft fall into two categories—specialist aerobatic, and aerobatic capable. Specialist designs such as the Pitts Special, the Extra 200 and 300, and the Sukhoi Su-26M and Sukhoi Su-29 aim for ultimate aerobatic performance. This comes at the expense of general purpose use such as touring, or ease of non aerobatic handling such as landing. At a more basic level, aerobatic capable aircraft, such as the Cessna 152 Aerobat model, can be dual purpose—equipped to carrying passengers and luggage, as well as being capable of basic aerobatic figures. Flight formation aerobatics are flown by teams of up to sixteen aircraft, although most teams fly between four and ten aircraft.[9] Some are state funded to reflect pride in the armed forces whilst others are commercially sponsored. Coloured smoke trails may be emitted to emphasise the patterns flown and/or the colours of a national flag. Usually each team will use aircraft similar to one another finished in a special and dramatic colour scheme, thus emphasising their entertainment function. Teams often fly V-formations (otherwise known as echelon formation)— they will not fly directly behind another aircraft because of danger from wake vortices or engine exhaust. Aircraft will always fly slightly below the aircraft in front, if they have to follow in line (the "trail formation"). Aerobatic maneuvers flown in a jet-powered aircraft are limited in scope as they cannot take advantage of the gyroscopic forces that a propeller driven aircraft can exploit. Jet-powered aircraft also tend to fly much faster which increases the size of the figures and the length of time which the pilot has to withstand increased g-forces. Jet aerobatic teams often fly in formations which further restricts the maneuvers that can be safely flown. To enhance the effect of aerobatic maneuveres smoke is sometimes generated; the smoke allows viewers to see the path travelled by the aircraft. Due to safety concerns, the smoke is not a result of combustion but is produced by the vaporization of fog oil into a fine aerosol, achieved either by injecting the oil into the hot engine exhaust[10] or by the use of a dedicated device[11] that can be fitted in any position on the aircraft. The first military aerobatic team to use smoke at will during displays was Fleet Air Arm 702 Squadron "The Black Cats" at the Farnborough Air show in September 1957.[12] Training[edit] Aerobatics are taught to military fighter pilots as a means of developing flying skills and for tactical use in combat. Aerobatics and formation flying is not limited solely to fixed-wing aircraft; the British Army, Royal Navy, Spanish Air Force and the Indian Air Force, among others, have helicopter display teams. All aerobatic maneuvers demand training and practice to avoid accidents. Such accidents are rare but can result in fatalities. Low-level aerobatics are extremely demanding and airshow pilots must demonstrate their ability before being allowed to gradually reduce the height at which they may fly their show. Competition Competitions start at Primary, or Graduate level and proceed in complexity through Sportsman, Intermediate and Advanced, with Unlimited being the top competition level.

1. Various Mugabe's plane taxiing 2. Security guards leaving plane 3. Mugabe leaving plane and being greeted by officials 4. Mugabe getting into car 5. Convoy leaving airport STORYLINE: Hours after the Commonwealth extended Zimbabwe's suspension, Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe arrived in Switzerland for a United Nations technology summit. Mugabe declined to speak to reporters when he arrived in Geneva on Tuesday. He was granted a visa to attend the summit, despite having been banned from visiting the country in 2002. Zimbabwe's main state newspaper has urged Mugabe to sever diplomatic ties with Britain and Australia after the troubled southern African country pulled out of the Commonwealth. The Herald, a government mouthpiece, blamed the "white Commonwealth" for a decision on Sunday by the 54-nation grouping of Britain and its former colonies to extend Zimbabwe's 18-month suspension from the bloc. Mugabe responded by quitting the Commonwealth. British Prime Minister Tony Blair, addressing the British House of Commons on Tuesday, hailed the Commonwealth's decision to continue Zimbabwe's suspension as a victory for the bloc's values. He said the country had gone backwards since it was first excluded last year. The South African Football Association (SAFA) together with Sasol today announced an extension of their ground-breaking sponsorship to further develop women’s football. With Minister of Women in the Presidency, Susan Shabangu and Commissioner for Gender Equality, Dr. N Maphazi looking on and attended by other football stakeholders and Banyana Banyana; the new sponsorship was announced by SAFA President Dr Danny Jordaan and Sasol Senior Vice President for Corporate Affairs, Ms. Wrenelle Stander. This long running partnership will continue for four (4) years until June 2021. “At Sasol, we pursue sponsorships that enhance our brand, inspire creativity and innovation, and create unique opportunities to build stakeholder relationships. As a direct result of our investment in women’s football, the landscape for the Sasol League and Banyana Banyana has forever changed and we are extremely proud of what they have achieved in such a short time”, said Sasol Senior Vice President for Corporate Affairs, Ms Wrenelle Stander. The two organisations first entered into this partnership in 2009 with the aim of growing and uplifting women’s football. Through this relationship, the Sasol League - South Africa’s premier women’s football league was established in 2009 and Banyana Banyana have gone on to achieve the seemingly impossible on the international scene, including back-to-back Olympic qualification in 2012 and 2016. The Sasol League has provided an opportunity for over 3 600 female footballers annually to play regular competitive football to improve the standard of the women’s game in the country and has also opened doors for female football players to obtain bursaries at institutions of higher learning through football with 35 of the 46 core players in the national team either studying or with qualifications. “The Sasol partnership has not only changed lives for the better for our football playing community but has provided life changing opportunities for most of our football playing women/girls. Part of Vision 2022 is to increase the number of people playing football to 10 percent of the country’s population. This means more than 5 million of our population must be involved in the game one way or the other and most of these will come from females. With the partnership that we have entered with Sasol, this goal is likely to be achieved much earlier” said SAFA President Dr Jordaan. The SAFA President said a number of Banyana Banyana players were now studying and playing professional football overseas, and this was a win-win situation in the sense that apart from improving their own careers outside football, their involvement with overseas clubs would benefit Banyana Banyana (the Senior Women’s National Team). “For all this, we want to thank Sasol for being true friends of football development.” Sasol was recently awarded the prestigious “Sponsor of the Year” award at the gsport Awards last month. The new partnership will continue to give even more female players the opportunity to participate in regular competitive football which will bode well for Banyana Banyana who will be jetting off to Zimbabwe for the COSAFA Women’s Cup from 13-24 September 2017.
